How are Locations created and used for Asset Management?

Locations are used to assign a building or room to products and items in Asset Management. Using Locations can help to inventory materials used in your programs. Once Locations are set, they can be used to filter assets across many windows in the system and as a field for reporting. Locations are useful to set when using barcodes to inventory materials. To create Locations in Asset Management follow the steps below.


1. Click on Asset Management in the navigation menu

2. Click on Settings in the Asset Management window

3. Click on Locations

4. To add a new location click New

Any existing locations will appear in the Locations list.

5. Complete the information in the window and click Save

You new location will now appear in the Locations list.
