How do I give potential employers and business partners a self-registration link to sign up to participate in WBL?

There are two methods that can be used to allow employers to self-register, Direct Registration and WBLOpportunities.com Registration. In either case, you can access the self-registration link using the following steps.

1. Navigate to the Work-Based Learning page

2. Click on the Settings button

3. Click on Employer Registration

EMPLOYER DIRECT REGISTRATION (LEGACY METHOD):

4. If using this method, you can set a custom Introduction Message.

5. Click on View or Copy the Self-Registration Direct Link.

If an employer completes this form, they will immediately be added directly to your list of Employers/Contacts. This is not the preferred method of Employer self-registration since it does not allow employers to post jobs or other WBL opportunities for students to apply for.

WBLOPPORTUNITIES.COM REGISTRATION (PREFERRED METHOD):

Once you have set up the integration with WBL Opportunities, you can use the following steps to get an Employer self-registration link.

1. Click on View or Copy the WBLOpportunities.com Registration Link

3. Registration Process

When a new employer registers on the WBLOpportunities site, WBL coordinators from the selected schools (by default, your school will be selected) will receive a notification email alerting them that a business is interested in offering Work-Based Learning (WBL) experiences. Coordinators can then decide whether or not they’d like to engage with the employer.

If approved, a new Employer/Contact record will be automatically created in Jobready. Any job postings or opportunities submitted by the employer can then be made visible to students within Jobready, pending coordinator approval.

This streamlined process and integration with Jobready are key reasons why registering through WBLOpportunities is the preferred method for employer engagement.
