How do I apply for opportunities/jobs?
1. Navigate to the Work-Based Learning Page
You must already be eligible for WBL Experiences in order to search for and apply to opportunities in the system.
2. Click on the Opportunity Search tab
If you do not see this tab, you are have not yet been approved for eligibility yet. Please contact you WBL Coordinator.
3. Search through the list of nearby opportunities until you find one you're interested in
4. Click on the action button for the opportunity you'd like to apply for
5. Click on Apply
6. You will see additional information about the opportunity at the top of the window that comes up
7. Write a cover letter
The cover letter that you type into this field will be the body of the email that gets sent to the employer
8. Choose if you'd like your digital portfolio link to be sent to the employer in the email
9. Click on Apply
By clicking apply, we send out an email to the employer with the cover letter, your resume, and a link to your digital portfolio if you chose to send it to them.
10. Look at your pending applications
11. Mark applications as hired/not hired
When you learn that you've been hired or rejected for a job, please click the appropriate button next to the application to notify your WBL coordinator. This will allow the next steps to be taken for your WBL experience.
