How do I set up new Graduation Pathways and how are they used?

Graduation pathways are a good way for you to specify different activity requirements for different graduation pathways or plans after graduation. For instance, a student going to a 4 year university may have different career activities than a student who plans to attend a trade school. Additionally, you may have different ways of fulfilling graduation requirements. For instance, you could allow students to complete industry certifications or satisfactory grades on standardized tests to qualify for graduation.

1. Navigate to the Career Planning Module

2. Click on Settings

3. Click on Graduation Pathways

4. Click on New

5. Add a name for the graduation pathway

Here is where you want to specify a name for the pathway. For instance, if the pathway is a requirement to complete industry certifications, you may want to called it "Industry Certifications". If this pathway will be used for students who plan to attend a 4 year college, you may want to call it "University".

6. Add a description

This field is not required but if you'd like to describe this graduation pathway you can do that here.

7. Click on Save

After saving, this pathway will be available for use when creating new activities as well as when assigning pathways to students.

8. Example of setting a pathway to an activity

The following image was created when making a new activity. You will see that you can specify the activity that you just created here or leave it blank so it's a requirement for all students not just ones of a specific pathway.
