How do I Create a WBL Event?

1. Navigate to the Work Based Learning page

2. Click on the event type

3. Click on New

4. Specify a name for the event

5. Add dates and times

Add a start date and a start time for when this event will begin.
Add an end date and end time for when this event closes.

6. Specify how many WBL hours attending this event will award a student

The hours awarded section will generate how many hours the student will be awarded after the event is done.
If you want to award more or less hours you can set your own desired number.

7. Choose the maximum number of participants

The maximum number of participants is only honored during self-registration. So if more students try to register using the self-registration QR code than the maximum participants setting, it will tell the potential attendee that they cannot register for the event.

On the flip side, if you specify 20 here and add by class and that class has 30 students, it will add all 30 students and override the maximum participant setting.

8. Select Registration Security

Open Registration - Any use can register for the event even if their email is not found in the system by a student or employer

Only Allow Registration by Active Students and Employers - Only students and employers with a matching email in the system is allowed to register.

9. Add Student Participants

If this event is for specific users, they can be selected from the filters below.
For example, if only an Auto Body class is required for this event, you'll click on "Add By Class". This will bring up a section where you can select the following class.

10. Choose the class

11. Add Employer Participants

If this event is for specific employers, they can be selected from the filters below.
In this example, we want to invite based on a specific industry.

12. Choose Industries

Choose the industries you'd like to invite.

13. Choose schools for reporting purposes

14. Specify a career cluster and pathway for reporting purposes

15. Specify the address of the event

If this is a in-person event you can add the address, city, state, and zip code as well.

16. Add a description

Then if you want to add a description on what the event is and what will be covered that can be added as well. (If an employer is hosting this event you can specify that with the "Associated to a Specific Employer" check box.)

17. Click on Add WBL Event
