How do I add and/or edit industry certifications?

1. Navigate to the Industry Certification management page

Any industry certifications provided by your state and automatically added to the system will by read only other than courses. If you try to update any information on one of those certifications, you will receive an error when you try to save that changes. It will let you save courses if no other information is changed.

2. Click on the action button next to the certification you'd like to edit or click "New" to create a new industry certification

3. Click on Edit

4. Specify the organization that is providing this industry certification

5. Specify the name of the certification

6. Specify the certification code, if applicable

7. Specify the number of points the industry certification is worth

This is used to weight industry certifications. Some states provide the number of points each industry certification is worth and require students to achieve a specific number of points instead of a specific number of certifications.

8. Add the website for the certification or organization

9. Provide the description of the industry certification

These courses are used for reporting. When you run the "Industry Certification Progress" report, there is a column for courses. This will see if any courses intersect and report them there. For instance, if you specify 10 courses on the industry certifications and the student who achieved that industry certification is or has been enrolled in 2 of those courses, those 2 courses would appear on the report.

11. Click on Save Changes
